With more than half of MS sufferers coming down with chronic pain at some point during their journey, it’s no wonder that MS pain is a major topic for discussion between health professionals and patients.  

Professionals can help patients in a number of ways ranging from special therapies to prescription medications, but what can MS patients do at home to ease their pain?

Yoga and Stretching

Yoga can be used for a variety of things, which includes, potentially, easing the pain related to MS. The gentle movements involved in basic yoga is said to do wonders for the stiff joints and muscles that are affected by the disease. It’s important not to take yoga too far, though. You should stick to gentle stretches and if it hurts? Stop.

 While acupuncture hasn’t been scientifically proven to ease MS pain, the idea is there. Acupuncture is used to treat a variety of body aches and pains, and some MS sufferers swear by it for reducing their discomfort.
