Have you ever had that old uncle that seems to be wise enough to know the answers in life? Well if not, here’s one guy that you might wanna look into. and how his method works.
The Wim Hof Method
The Method was created by Wim Hof, “The Iceman”, a Dutchman well known for breaking all sorts of records related to cold exposure. While the method is simple, the benefits are huge. Science has proven that cold therapy reduces inflammation, enhances energy levels, improves the quality of your sleep, and boosts your immune system, among other advantages. The Wim Hof Method comprises three components: breathing exercises, training your mindset and concentration, and gradual exposure to the cold.
The Wim Hof Breathing Exercise
As one of the pillars of the method, the Wim Hof breathing exercise is known to alleviate stress and improve athletic performance, it’s also been linked to the reduction of symptoms of several autoimmune diseases, asthma, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and many more.
When your mind and body are well-oxygenated, you tap into a deeper sense of self. You become more aware and connected with your body that you cannot achieve through shallow breathing that people normally do. We are often not aware of this shallow breathing in our day to day lives due to things we do such as tasks, thoughts, and the way we live our lives. When we learn how to train our minds, our bodies and all will be aligned.
