By Toby Tunwase

There are so many brands of detox drinks today. So it is not a surprise for many people to want to know for sure if they do work.

The answer is yes, they work and can be excellent in helping you pass a drug test, but there are some conditions attached to their efficiency.

The primary explanation of the mechanism with which they work is that:

They rid your body of the drug metabolites from your body. This makes you able to get a clean result for drug tests.

It is crucial to get your detox drink from a brand with a good history and follow every instruction to the very end if you want to get the result you seek.

How do they work?

It is common knowledge that drugs like weed are capable of staying in your system for a long time. In some cases, it can last up to a month in your body. So even after staying off weed for a while, you can still test positive for those drug tests.

The mechanism of action of detox drinks is not quite precise, but we will try to explain it as briefly as we can.

The basic science of detox drinks is that they work by flushing out the metabolites of drugs from your system, which are excreted by urinating. Drug tests work by detecting these metabolites, and after your body is rid of these metabolites, they can’t be identified.

Detox drink acts further by preventing these metabolites from getting into your excretory system. Some detox drinks are capable of keeping your urine free of the metabolites for about five hours.
